The short version

  • Subtick is a training tool for Counter-Strike 2 teams. You sign in with Steam and must be at least 13.
  • What your team makes belongs to your team. We only use it to run Subtick for you.
  • No cheating, harassment, hate speech or spam. Admins can remove content and ban accounts, and you can appeal.
  • Paid plans renew automatically. You can stop the renewal at any time, and private customers keep their legal right to withdraw.
  • Danish law applies, and nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.

The agreement

These terms apply when you use subtick.gg, our game servers, the TeamSpeak recorder and our other tools. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data; it is not part of the contract, but you should read it.

You must be at least 13 to use Subtick. If you are under 18, you need the approval of a parent or guardian before you buy a paid plan.

We distinguish between two kinds of customers. A private customer is a person using Subtick outside a business, including a group of friends who buy a team plan together. A business customer is a company, association or other organisation, or anyone buying for a business. Some rules below apply to only one of them.

Your account

  • You sign in with your Steam account. One account per person, and you may not share it or sell it.
  • Keep your Steam account secure. Whatever happens through your account is your responsibility, unless someone else got in without your fault.
  • Teams have owners and members. The owner decides who joins and what the team shares.

The service

Subtick lets teams build playbooks, upload and review demos, record team voice comms, train in game modes, run game servers and study professional matches. Some features are free, such as watching professional matches in the demo viewer; others need a paid plan.

We keep improving Subtick, so features change. Free features are offered as they are, without a guarantee that they are always available. For paid plans, see Changes and availability.

Subtick is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation. You also have to follow Steam's terms when you use Subtick.

Paid plans

This section applies once paid plans are available in the app.

Player plan
Your own on-demand practice server for every game mode and utility practice, and the demo viewer.
Team plan
Everything in the player plan for every member, plus a team server for scrims, recording plays and replaying plays and demo rounds, demo parsing with automatic TeamSpeak voice sync, and play recognition.
Prices
Shown in the app before you pay, including VAT.
Who sells it
You buy through Link, Stripe's merchant of record service. Link sells the plan on our behalf and handles the payment, VAT, receipts and payment questions; its own terms apply to the payment. We provide the service under these terms.

Free trial

You can try a paid plan free for 14 days. No card is needed, and the trial never turns into a paid plan by itself. When it ends, you keep the free features and choose whether to buy.

  • One trial per person and one per team. The team owner starts the team trial, and it covers everyone on the team. A team trial counts for every member: if anyone on the roster was in a team that had a trial in the last 12 months, the team cannot start a new one.
  • Creating extra accounts, swapping team owners or rotating rosters to get more trials is not allowed. If we see it, we end the trial and the people involved get no further trials. Repeated abuse can lead to suspension.
  • To prevent abuse, we may check public details of your Steam account, such as its age and CS2 playtime, before a trial starts. If you do not qualify, you can still buy a plan, or write to us and a person will look at it. The privacy policy says exactly what we check.

Private customers

  • You can pay monthly, or upfront for 3 or 6 months. The plan renews automatically for the same period at the current price.
  • You can turn off renewal at any time, under Billing in Subtick or at link.com. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Once your plan has run for 5 months, you can also end it with one month's notice to the end of a month. We then refund the unused part of what you paid in advance.
  • If we raise the price, we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can turn off renewal before it applies.
  • If a payment fails, we try again for a few days. If it still fails, the plan ends and you keep the free features.

Your right to withdraw (private customers)

You have 14 days from your purchase to withdraw from it without giving a reason.

  • When you buy, we ask you to confirm that you want the plan to start straight away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the days you had the plan.
  • To withdraw, use the Withdraw from contract button in your billing settings, which is available throughout the 14 days, or write to hello@subtick.gg saying that you withdraw. We confirm by email.
  • We refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, to the payment method you used. You can also ask Link's support (support.link.com) to cancel the purchase.

The withdrawal right does not apply to business customers.

Business customers

  • Plans run for 12 months and renew for another 12 months unless either side cancels in writing at least 90 days before the end of the period.
  • If we have signed a separate written agreement with you, it takes priority over these terms where they differ. For such agreements we invoice you ourselves instead of selling through Link.
  • Our invoices are payable 14 days net from the invoice date.
  • On request, we sign a data protection addendum that sets out who is responsible for what.
  • Our total liability to a business customer is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost profit or lost data. This does not apply if we acted with intent or gross negligence.

Your content

  • Plays, demos, notes, recordings and everything else your team makes belong to your team. We claim no ownership.
  • You give us permission to store, process, show and send that content as needed to run Subtick for you, your team and the teams you share with, and to keep it in backups. The permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from backups, which are kept for up to 6 months.
  • Only upload what you have the right to: demos of matches you played or may share, and names and logos you have the right to use. A demo also holds data about the other players in it; use it for reviewing your play, not to expose them.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.

Voice recordings

  • Only players who link their TeamSpeak identity to Subtick are recorded. By linking, you accept that your voice is recorded in your team's channel as described in the privacy policy.
  • If you add the recorder to a channel, tell your teammates and use that channel for team comms. Do not use Subtick to record anyone who has not linked.
  • Recordings are for your team's review. Do not share them outside the team without the consent of the people on them.

Rules

These rules apply everywhere on Subtick, including team names, logos, profiles, notes, chat and game servers. You may not:

  • cheat, or use Subtick to make, test or spread cheats. Follow the rules of the games, leagues and tournaments you play in.
  • harass, threaten or bully anyone, or post hate speech or content that discriminates against people.
  • spam, or advertise without our permission.
  • post anything illegal, or anything that infringes other people's rights, such as names or logos you do not have the right to use.
  • pretend to be someone else.
  • attack or overload Subtick, scrape it, get around limits or access controls, or resell access.
  • create extra accounts or use other people's accounts, including to get more free trials.

Reports and moderation

We do not watch everything that is posted, but we act on reports and on what we come across.

Report something

Email abuse@subtick.gg with:

  • where it is: a link, or the team or player name;
  • what it is and why you think it is illegal or breaks our rules;
  • your name and email, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material, which you may report anonymously;
  • a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm that we received your report and tell you what we decided. abuse@subtick.gg is also our contact point for authorities. We answer in English or Danish.

What we can do

Depending on how serious it is, we can remove or hide content, give a warning, limit features, or suspend or close a team or an account. An admin decides each case; we do not make these decisions automatically. Serious or repeated harassment, hate speech, spam or cheating can lead to a ban.

When we act, we tell the person affected what we did, which rule or law it is based on, and how to appeal, unless the law stops us from doing so. If we suspect a crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we report it to the police.

Appeal

You can appeal a decision within 6 months, on our Discord or by email to abuse@subtick.gg. An admin looks at it again and tells you the result. You can always take the matter to the Danish courts.

Game servers

Game servers are hosted by our server provider, DatHost. A server stops by itself when nobody has used it for a while. We can stop a server that is misused or that breaks these rules. Keep your server password to yourself.

Changes and availability

  • We work to keep Subtick running, but there will be updates, maintenance and the occasional outage. Steam, Discord, TeamSpeak and game updates outside our control can also affect features.
  • If a paid feature does not work as described, private customers have their rights under Danish law: we fix it, and if we cannot, you can get a price reduction or end the plan.
  • If we remove or noticeably worsen a paid feature, we tell you at least 30 days ahead. If the change matters to you, you can end the plan and we refund the unused part of what you paid in advance.

Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using Subtick at any time. To delete your account, write to hello@subtick.gg.
  • We can close an account or team for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, as described under Reports and moderation.
  • We can also end a paid plan for other reasons with 30 days' notice; we then refund the unused part of what you paid in advance.
  • If we shut Subtick down, we tell you at least 30 days ahead and refund unused prepaid time.

Liability

We are liable under the general rules of Danish law. If you are a private customer, nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer. We are not liable for services we do not run, such as Steam, Discord, TeamSpeak or your team's own servers. The limits for business customers are under Business customers.

Complaints

If something is wrong, write to hello@subtick.gg first, and we will try to solve it. Questions about a payment or receipt can also go to Link's support at support.link.com.

Private customers can complain to Nævnenes Hus, Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, through the complaints portal. Conditions apply, including a minimum and maximum price for the purchase and a fee. If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help.

Complaints about how we handle personal data go to Datatilsynet.

Law and courts

Danish law applies. If you are a private customer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules in your country. Disputes go to the Danish courts; as a consumer, you can also go to the courts where you live.

Transfer of the agreement

We can transfer the agreement, including your plan, to another business that we own, for example when Subtick I/S becomes Subtick ApS. That business takes over all our obligations to you, and your rights stay the same. Your data goes with it, and the privacy policy will name the new data controller. We tell you in the app at least 30 days before. If you do not want that, you can end your plan before then, and we refund the unused part of what you paid in advance.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can end your plan before then, and we refund the unused part of what you paid in advance.
