Anchor: hold the site alone

You hold the site. Smokes, flashes and molotovs land on it, then the bots swing in waves. Anchor trains the hardest job on a CT side: staying alive and calm until help arrives.

How a take plays out

Type .anchor on your server. Each take picks the utility for the site and throws it. The first wave swings shortly after the last grenade lands, and it gets the AWP. Some of its bots try their luck early, before the utility or while it is landing. Every later wave only goes once the wave before it is dead.

  • One to three waves a take.
  • Three bots below normal difficulty, four on normal and five from hard up.
  • A new take picks new utility. Die, and the restart keeps the same pick so you can try it again.

Faster as you get better

The higher your take rating, the shorter every delay, so the waves give you less time to reset between fights.

Sites built by players

Anchor sites are made in the studio: the creator places the spots, sorts them into waves and adds the lineups the take throws.

Questions

What does an anchor do in CS2?

The anchor holds a bombsite, often alone, and buys time until rotations arrive. That means surviving the utility and winning the first fights without overpeeking.

Do the bots use utility?

Yes. Each take throws smokes, flashes or molotovs onto the site before the first wave swings.

Where do I play it?

On your personal Subtick server. Start it from the site and type .anchor.
