CS2 prefire practice
Walk the path, clear the angles, and the next take loads. Prefire runs on your own server with bots holding the spots, and your rating moves after every take.

How a take works
Type .prefire on your server and pick a creator, a course and a stage, or play every stage in a row. A countdown starts, bots hold the angles on your path, and the HUD shows how many are left. Clear them all to win the take. Die and the take restarts, counted as a loss.
- .next skips the current stage.
- .stop takes you back to practice.
A rating that counts takes, not kills
Your rating moves once per take. Kills on their own change nothing, so the only way up is clean takes. Everyone starts at 1500 and climbs through five leagues, Ash, Steel, Violet, Amber and Crown, each with three tiers. Play 20 rated takes to join the leaderboards: one for the month and one for all time.
Bots at your level
Bot difficulty follows your rating. Easy plays 500 below it, normal at it, hard 200 above, expert 400 above and nightmare 600 above. Harder takes gain more and lose less.
Build your own course
Courses are made by players. Open the studio in game with .studio, walk the path, place the bots and publish the course, and everyone who plays that map can run it.
Questions
Do I need my own server for prefire practice?
Prefire runs on your personal Subtick server, which you start from the site in one click.
Does dying cost rating?
Yes. Die and the take restarts and counts as a loss. Kills on their own don't change your rating.
Which maps have prefire courses?
Courses are built by players, so it depends on what has been published. If your map is missing, build a course in the studio.
How is Prefire different from Swap?
Prefire is a path with angles to clear. Swap is a duel: kill the bot, take its spot, then swing the angle you just held.
